Oscar Dovale and Tara McArdle

The engagement of Tara McArdle, of Conshohocken, to Oscar Dovale, of Riverside, N.J., has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larry and Jane Culver of Jim Thorpe. She is a 1996 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Hometown, and a 2000 graduate of DeSales University, Center Valley, Pa. She is employed as a pricing manager at Cadient Group in King of Prussia.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Floriano Alves Dovale and the late Rosa Alise Dovale of Lanheses, Portugal. He is a 1993 graduate of Riverside High School, Riverside, N.J., and a 1997 graduate of Instituto Superior Politecnico Gaya, Portugal. He is employed as an on-air vendor for QVC in West Chester, Pa.

On a visit to Spain, Italy, Egypt and Portugal, Oscar proposed to Tara, at the top of a pyramid in Cairo.

A wedding is being planned for next summer in Portugal.
