Mortgage foreclosure

Wells Fargo Bank filed suit against Diane Swire and Donald Swire alleging they had defaulted on mortgage payments on their property at 18 Ferndale Road, Zion Grove, North Union Township, and owe a principal payment of $188,036.11 plus costs.

In contempt

Two men were found guilty by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine of a charge of criminal contempt of a protection from abuse (PFA) order issued by the court.

Sale of property

An attempt to stop the sale of an abandoned and blythed property by Foster Township supervisors was denied by Judge John Domalakes, who ruled the township to convey free and clear of all liens and encumbrances the property at 78 Hill Road, Foster Township, to Joseph J. Roperto.

Domalakes also ordered Roperto to rehabilitate the property to the satisfaction of the Abandoned and Blighted Property Conservation Act within two and one-half years from the date of the settlement and to transfer the property to the tax list.

Child molester

A Pottsville man pleaded guilty to having indecent deviate sexual intercourse with an eight year old child and was given a long state prison sentence.

Kim L. May, 32, Pottsville, was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve 10 to 20 years with credit for serving 99 days in the county prison.
