Christ the Redeemer Church, 151 Third St., Coaldale, will sponsor a series of Christian videos designed to be one major part of the puzzle of Christian life. The series will begin this Saturday, at 1 p.m., and continue until further notice.
The schedule for St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, for the week of Nov. 22 is as follows:
Sunday, Nov. 22 - Sunday school, 9 a.m.; collating of church newsletter, 9:15 a.m. (volunteers are needed); and worship service, 10:30 a.m. There will be a special budget meeting immediately following the worship service. All members are invited to attend. A light lunch will be provided.
Morning worship begins at 9 a.m. Sunday is Christ the King Sunday. Labor of Love boxes for World Hunger will be collected this week.
White Gifts are being collected for St. Luke Village. Requested items include tissues, body wash, lotion, deodorant (man or woman), perfumes and after shave, jewelry, men's white and dark socks, women's white anklets and socks. DO NOT donate powder, mouthwash or denture cleaner. Items should be wrapped in white tissue paper and labeled. Deadline is Nov. 29.
The Thursday run for garbage collection will be taken on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Those residents are asked to make sure their garbage is out on the curb on Wednesday.
Woman's club
The Christmas dinner for the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will be held on Monday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Macaluso's Restaurant.
Ginny Novy, president, will conduct a short meeting. Members are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the food pantry in town. Nan Kevilly will be collecting the food and taking it to the church.
A bonfire will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for the district playoffs against North Schuylkill behind the Panther Valley High School and Middle School. Please enter through the middle school parking lot.
The Nesquehoning Food Pantry will be open for the distribution of food on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church on West Catawissa Street.

Kids' Christmas party
The Nesquehoning Recreation Center will host a Nesquehoning Kids' Christmas party on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. All kids must be 10 and under. To register call (570) 669-9121 or 669-5554. Someone will return your call to confirm reservation. The deadline is Nov. 29.
The monthly meeting of the Summit Hill Lions Club will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Parkview Inn. Dr. Kenneth Vermillion, president, will chair the session.
