The first Thursday night football dinner for this year's season will be held tomorrow at the high school commons after the football practice. Parents are asked to help with the serving of the meal.
A meeting of the Jim Thorpe Touchdown Club will be held following the meal, to which parents, relatives and friends of the players are invited to attend and help with the planning of this year's events.
Parents of Jim Thorpe High School senior football players are asked to meet on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. The meeting is being held so that the parents of the players can make the banners for their sons, which will be hung along the football stadium fences.
If you are unable to attend, the banners will still be made.
The Jim Thorpe Democratic Association will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. in the small conference room of the Inn at Jim Thorpe. Edith Lukasevich, president, will be in charge of the sessions and asks all committeemen and committeewomen from the town to attend, as well as any interested party.
The Jim Thorpe Olympian Touchdown Club will meet this evening at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. Plans for the upcoming season will be made and parents of players in the football program are invited to attend and help in anyway.
Bloodmobile
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be stationed at Memorial Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 1-6 p.m. Donors should be 17 years of age and older.

Class of 1980
Members of the Jim Thorpe graduating class of 1980 will be holding their 30th reunion on Saturday, Sept. 11. Members of the class are reminded that they should send their reservations to Jean Kemmerle Dunbar or if they have questions contact her at (570) 325-4303.

Girl Scout leaders meeting slated
